While we would like to host all children with medical challenges, at this time, we are unable to do so. Please find below the criteria we use to determine eligibility for a stay at the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage.

  1. Children who have a medical diagnosis of cancer or another life altering illness including, but not limited to, a serious blood disorder, a hereditary or acquired immune disorder, congenital heart disease, mitochondrial disease, a collagen vascular disease, or neuro-muscular disorders. All applications are subject to the approval of the program manager.

  2. Children must be aged 18 or younger. Family members can be of any age.

  3. The family must live in the Central New York region.

  4. Each applicant must have proof (a letter from the child's physician, referral from an approved organization like Make-A-Wish or CompassionNet, etc.) confirming he/she meets the above criteria. Please submit this proof to: brianshome453@championsforlife.org.

Please fill out the application below as thoroughly as possible to help us determine your need. Once eligibility is confirmed, and space is available, we will be in touch to schedule your stay.  We review the applications in March and April.

Please note that we schedule families for stays during May and through November for a 5 day/4 night stay.

Please be advised that, should unforeseen circumstances arise, we may have to reschedule your stay. We'll try to accommodate you as best as possible. 

Please note:

No pets are allowed!  However, service animals are always welcome. please notify us before your stay if you plan to bring your service animal. Proof will be required. 

Please sign the Waiver and Release before visiting the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage. Please read the following thoroughly, then fill out the form below it. Your signed agreement must be submitted at least ten days before you visit, or you may forfeit your reservation.

Waiver and release

Champions for Life, Inc. (CFL) and The Everest Association for Family Enrichment, Inc. (EAFE) agree to allow the Guests named below to stay in the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage and use adjoining premises at Everest Park located at 5343 North Rd. in the Town of Owasco, Cayuga County, New York (Premises).

The Guests, for themselves and anyone under their supervision, agree with CFL and EAFE, their employees, agents, directors, officers, volunteers, equipment providers, and representatives (all of whom are hereinafter collectively referred to as “Releasees”) as follows:

  1. To waive any and all claims including those for injury, death, loss or property damage, that the Guests have, or may have in the future against the Releasees; and

  2. To release the Releasees for any and all claims including those for injury, death, loss or property damages that the Guests have or may have in the future; and

  3. To hold harmless, indemnify, and defend the Releasees including those for injury, death, loss or property damages that the Guests have or may have in the future.

In connection with the use of the Premises, the Guests agree to stay away from and not use any Mud Run Obstacle and/or trails near such Obstacles. The Guests are aware there is a pond on the Premises, and agree not to swim in the pond and will provide adequate supervision to ensure that all Guests take adequate precautions to avoid falling into the pond. Any Guest using the paddle boats in the pond shall wear life preservers. The Guests agree to return all paddle boats, life preservers, and/or any other equipment to the condition and location in which they found said equipment.

The Guests shall not allow consumption of alcohol by anyone under the age of 21 and shall provide adequate supervision to enforce this provision. Furthermore, the Guests shall not themselves or allow anyone on the Premises by reason of invitation by the Guests to consume an excessive amount of alcohol so as to become intoxicated. CFL and EAFE reserve the right to remove anyone not abiding by this provision.

Golf Cart Use: The Guests shall allow any golf carts provided to be operated only by individuals who possess a valid driver’s license and agree that such golf carts shall be operated only upon the roadways on the Premises. Guests shall stay off the sports and farm fields, grassy areas, the yards around the pavilion and around the house with the golf cart, if one is provided. Failure to follow this rule may result in revocation of golf cart privileges, or financial charges related to damage to the golf cart or premises.

Pets: The Guests shall not bring dogs, cats, or animals of any type upon the Premises except that service animals are permitted. No other exceptions shall apply without prior written permission of an authorized representative of CFL or EAFE. CFL and/or EAFE reserves the right to demand proof that the animal is a documented service animal at any time during the stay.

Guests may not bring other people onto the premises unless listed below. No motorized vehicles are allowed on the premises, including but not limited to motorized watercraft and/or ATVs. Motorized wheelchairs are allowed. Vehicles of all sorts must stay on roadways and may not travel onto sport or farm fields, grassy areas, or yards. Guests agree that failure to follow this guideline, and any damage that results, may result in financial charges to the Guests.

The Guests agree to comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, regulations or requirements of all federal, state or municipal governments as well as any rules and regulations prescribed by CFL or EAFE. Further, Releasees shall have access to the Premises for purposes of inspection, Everest Park events, and maintenance. The Guests shall not alter the Premises in any way.

The Guests, CFL and EAFE hereby waive the right to a jury trial.
