A little piece of heaven!

We had a wonderful time as a family at the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage! The house was very comfortable and the refrigerator was stocked with food. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery, paddle boating on the pond, playing on the swing sets, relaxing in the hammocks, and so much more. It was the most quiet, peaceful, and relaxing time we have had as a family in years. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay!

Thank you for allowing us to stay at the Bisgrove House of Courage. It was wonderful to spend some peaceful quality time as a family and reflect on how far Izzy has come medically. While life with refractory epilepsy may never be easy she has come so far. We utilized the time at the cabin to take advantage of spending quality time with the people who mean the most as they say :

“ where the roots are deep, there is no reason to fear the wind”

Brian’s legacy is one of strength and kindness in our family’s eyes. Thank you for sharing a piece of his “peace” with us.

"Our stay was beyond and above any expectations we could have had. A wonderful and blissful experience for our entire family. Care, compassion and peace were just a few words we used to tell family about our time there... Thank you for everything!"

“Thank you, Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage, for a beautiful weekend for our family! We spent such valuable time together playing outside in the sunshine, plenty of board game fun, Legos, crafting, and many laughs. My boys were enthralled with staying at ‘a fancy log cabin’. Truly memories we will hold onto forever.”

We have been blessed to stay at the Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage. Being in that peaceful setting with no distractions allowed our family time to bond. Staying here provided a necessary break from the stress of daily life routines with a child with a disability. It gave us a chance to regroup and meditate on our faith and the fact that this life truly does take courage. Thank you for blessing us with this opportunity.

We just want to say thank you so much for the wonderful respite week. The timing couldn't have come at a better time! Our son had surgery in August and had major complications having 3 additional surgeries. It was much-needed family time! The kids were able to roam worry-free.  Fire time amongst the cornfield was fun. The home had everything we needed.

Our stay at Brian Bisgrove Home of Courage was absolutely amazing! Our family was able to find peace, serenity and tranquility in being surrounded by the beautiful nature on the property! Our family was able to bond and enjoy every moment together, fishing, playing games, etc! We greatly appreciate everyone responsible for providing such bliss to families and providing them the opportunity to make wonderful memories together!

With much love and respect,

Virginia, John, Brooklyn, Austin and Myiah

These are some of the greatest memories my family will cherish. From when we first pulled up until we left we were truly just amazed at how beautiful and peaceful it was here. The area is quiet and has some of the most beautiful views. Our son who hasn't been finding anything but TV interesting enjoyed getting out in his Wheelchair and fishing. I would recommend anyone who can experience this to experience it.

Thank You For The Wonderful Stay

The Bell Family

The Home of courage is a very very special place for my family. My son was diagnosed at the age of four with a congenital heart defect. He has a one in 1 million heart condition that almost took his life. The stress from having a child with a serious heart condition is unimaginable. The toll it takes on a family is extremely difficult. When Make-A-Wish told us about the home of courage.  That it could provide a place for our family to reconnect and spend quality time together we jumped on that chance. The very first time we walked in the doors we knew this was a very special place. You can feel the love of the people that have poured into this house. The property provides not only fun and many activities but it provides a place to connect. A place that we honestly feel brings us closer together with each other and God.

We have been so blessed to be able to continue to stay at the home of courage. A.k.a. camping house as my kids call it. We have our favorite things to do like go down to the pond to ride the paddle boats, evening bonfires, golf cart rides and we even take our family pictures there. It’s just so beautiful. Most  importantly we just spend time together. Thankful for my son’s life and thankful for the time that the home of courage provides for our family.

We love the Home of Courage!

The Cousineau Family

You truly are amazing! This is such a beautiful place for respite for me and my family… It wonderful to have a place away from hospital visits and all the daily struggles. This has made Zoey have a peaceful place to feel like a kid and be free to just have fun. I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this happen for children like my daughter who are dealing with threatening illnesses. Keep my little warrior in your prayers as she battles with 4 Angiomas in her brain and Chiari malformation.

We had such a wonderful time! It was restful and quality family time that we had desperately needed. I was able to say yes to playing games and connecting on a level that we don't usually have time for during the busy chaos of 'regular' life. Just looking out at the landscape and enjoying our time together as a family was so peaceful and rejuvenating. Thank you so much for the opportunity.
